It's within walking distance of 42nd street-bryant park subway station, appreciated that, easily traveled around the city.
Very noisy street, but can't fault the hotel.
-
Good beds & nice people. For shots visit virgil's real bbq, nestled within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel. Besides, Wi Fi is a bonus.
-
Very good price-performance ratio. Simple but clean, reception staff is always helpful and friendly, central location but not too noisy.
-
the hotel seems to be rather nostalgic, which gives it a certain charm, but the rooms are facing the street and are very noisy! the staff is extremely charming and always ready to help!
the insulation of the windows is very bad! Rooms to the backyard are recommended!
-
The proximity to Times Square; nice hotel, helpful staff
Loud air conditioning; hardly any water came out of the shower head
-
Old hotel, but clean. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The location is brilliant for the price. In the middle of the district and still you can sleep peacefully. I'd book it again and again!
-
The bed was not very big but comfortable and very quiet despite the proximity to Times Square.
Very little space in the room, e.g. to leave the empty suitcase.
-
The location is priceless!!! Even though the hotel is getting on in years, we love it ;) The price-performance ratio is top. Always new towels & bed linen. Next door there are two shops: for breakfast and to cover the need for drinks & sweets.
-
The accommodation was very clean, the staff is very friendly and always in a good mood. The St.James is ideally located, about 3 minutes from Times Square. Two dinner spots right next to the hotel.
That the hotel bar is unfortunately not opened. We would have liked to have had a drink in the comfortable armchairs in the evening.
-
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean rooms, central location.
The hotel's getting a little old. We had a room facing the street, so it was very noisy (but you have to put up with the location).
-
Central location, very friendly and helpful staff, clean, simply furnished but big rooms. Good price for NY
-
Wonderful, in the theatre quarter, subway, restaurants, pubs, all sights are very easy to reach!
-
Location is perfect! 1 minute from Times Squer on foot and still it is quiet!
The hotel didn't have a sign, so it was hard to recognize, if it was the right ont. Building was also surrounded by scaffolds!
-
friendly and competenrt reception

The location is fantastic. The hotel is near the main events of Broadway. There is a Deli next to the hotel which is great for all meals.
Too much cold and impersonal relationship with guests.
